ONE MILLIONTH ANNIVERSARY TON OF ALUMINUM WAS PRODUCED BY BOAZ

The millionth ton of commercial metal was produced on the line of foundry complex No. 5, where the first BoAZ metal was poured into the mixer in 2015.

The honorary guest of the anniversary melting was the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Uss, who congratulated the factory workers on such a significant event for the plant and the entire metallurgical industry of the region.

"The Boguchansky plant is really the flagship of the Russian metallurgy, it is the pride not only of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, but of the whole of Russia. There are not so many enterprises of this level, with such technologies that have been built from scratch in recent years, in Russia. It is very important that a young and cohesive team has been formed here over the years. This predetermined the fact that today we have a big, serious event, an important milestone has been reached - one million tons of aluminum," Alexander Uss said.

The millionth ton that came off the casting line was packed, a commemorative plaque was attached to it, indicating the release date. Anniversary ingots will become exhibits of the future BoAZ Museum.

Acting General Director of BoAZ Alexey Chizhov presented the guest of honor with a memorable souvenir in the form of an aluminum ingot, as a participant in the anniversary melting. And in turn, he also congratulated the team on the excellent result, which was achieved in the year of the fifth anniversary of the launch of the plant and the receipt of the first metal, which is symbolic. He expressed confidence that the pace taken and the quality of BoAZ products will remain on top in the future.

Alexey Chizhov, Acting CEO of BoAZ: "During these five years since the launch of the plant, a very long way has been passed. In the middle of the taiga, we launched the most modern aluminum production, received the first metal, the village of Taiga with the launch of the plant began to be filled with new life and radically transformed. And now we have produced our first million. This is a great result to be proud of! In each of these tons is your selfless conscientious work, a piece of your soul. And I want to thank everyone for their good work."

At the end of the holiday, an award ceremony was held for the best employees and veterans of the plant. They were awarded letters of thanks and certificates of honor.

Honorary diplomas were also awarded to the winners of the Professional skills competition.
