UC RUSAL informs that the installation of modern electrolyte processing equipment, produced by German Outotec, is currently underway at the BEMO smelter. The electrolyte processing line is one of the most advanced on the market and will be used for the first time in Russia. The line will fully automate the processing of electrolytes at the BEMO smelter.
Senior management of RUSAL, Vnesheconombank (VEB) and RusHydro visited Tayozhny in Eastern Siberia this Thursday, June 6, to inspect the construction works of the Boguchansky aluminium smelter (BEMO smelter). The readiness of the first starting complex is 75%.
UC RUSAL held a meeting with potential contractors for the Boguchany aluminium smelter – construction companies from Siberia and the Far East, including the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The meeting was held as UC RUSAL plans to resume all construction work on the site of the future aluminium smelter.
UC RUSAL has announced that the supervisory board of Vneshekonombank has approved the allocation of RUR 50 billion in loans (about USD 1.7 billion) to complete the Boguchany Energy and Metals Complex (BEMO) project.
